It’s such a weird feeling, having health insurance again.
I feel more secure, safe…like I am protected. Even though simply having health insurance doesn’t really actually do anything, it’s nice to know that I will still be able to get my medications and have my health concerns addressed when I want them to, not according to my pocket book. No, not every single one of my problems is taken care of, but it certainly helps make it less stressful.
One day, I will be working in public health, and you can be damn sure I will never stop trying to make this feeling available to all people. I can’t wait until I can be a part of making that happen.
