Zoloft and Prince Valium enjoying the yummy grass I got for them. Thankfully grass is easy to grow, so chances are it won’t end up dead. haha. Self replenishing treats! Yumm!!
Today is Prozac’s 1st birthday! He is now a full-fledged young adult (in guinea pig years), though he still acts like a moody teenager at times. Happy birthday to my big ball of fuzz! My three piggers and their new half C&C home! The pictures were taken before we cleaned, mind you. ;) I’m going to be adding onto it, though. I got it at half-price since the box was opened, and I have yet to add the coroplast bottom, but at the moment I just have a tarp laid down under the fleece and absorbent pads. You may have noticed that one of my piggers, Xanax, is missing from the group shots. Unfortunately, he’s just become too aggressive and bullied my other boys too much that I reluctantly had to give him up for adoption. I’m not worried about it, though; he’s going to the Animal Humane Society, which has a high rate of adoptions (it’s also where I adopted Prince Valium and Prozac) and no limit to how long they’ll take care of him for him to be adopted out. He’s also such a sweet little piggie when he’s away from other boys, so I know he’ll find a great home and a loving family to be with. I’m going to miss his little kisses and potty dance, though, but it really was for the best. Such a bittersweet day.
My poor little Zoloft got into a big fuzzy fight with his cage-mate, Xanax. He got beat up pretty good, and kicked in the face apparently, so now he has a huge claw mark above his lips. Luckilly I had just dried my hair so I was still at home when it happened, and scooped him up. He cried and chirped for a good half hour, even as I cuddled him. Poor little man. He’s been getting extra snuggle time today to help him feel better. He still whines a bit when I pick him up, but he’s been eating and drinking ok, so I’m not too worried. Boys will be boys I guess… =/ My munchkins had their spa day today. They got their hair did, nails cut, and (not so glamorously) their butts cleaned. I can’t say I ever look forward to spa days for them, but they have to be done, and I know they appreciate being clean.
Prince Valium likes the finer things in life. Sleeping on the fleece alone just will not do, so he sleeps on the little couch. He thinks he’s people!
