So most of my followers would know that I have 3 guinea pigs, Zoloft, Prozac and Xanax, and they live in cages lined with fleece instead of traditional wood bedding. While this has many positives for their health and well being, one negative is that I have to pick up their poop by hand. No biggie, they’re just little jelly bean shaped things anyway, but I digress.
One day I was doing my usual poop pick ups when the littlest one, Zoloft, comes up to my hand and drops a pellet of poo infront of me. I’m like, oookay, random but that’s super neat, and figure it was just a one time thing. Wrong. Now when I approach the cage to do my poop pick ups he will act like a dog and bring me some poos.
I’m still amazed to this day whenever he does it.
My boys are so damn spoiled.
Instead of spending money on groceries for myself, I spent it on holiday fleece that I found at Jo-Ann Fabrics. But hey, they’re worth it! And besides… I need to lose weight anyway. ;P
After a busy day of playing and nomming, and instigating fights with his cagemates, Zoloft fell asleep on top of the wooden hidey house. It was the cutest thing I’ve ever seen; he looked like a little lump of fuzz.
I love him so much.
Two of my boys after their spa day, Zoloft and Xanax. Prozac was sleeping underneath their ramp so I couldn’t get a good shot of him, but he looks nice and fluffy too.
Getting all nice and clean is exhausting!
Today was spa day for my piggies.
They got their hair all washed and clean, then were dried and hair their nails trimmed, then got to indulge on some cucumbers, carrots and parsley.
Little buggers are more pampered than me!
An experiment. My piggies were quarreling a lot, and even leaving wounds on each other, so I separated them for a while. They were pouting about that for quite a while, so I decided to try and join the cages, giving them more room, to see if that would help. So far, they seem pretty happy, so I think it’s working. Only time will tell though.
